About NRS

General
Background
Northern Reporting Service,
Inc is licensed as a Private Investigative Agency in Wisconsin, Minnesota
and Iowa. We also accept assignment in Illinois, North Dakota, South
Dakota, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This vendor engages in a wide variety of Insurance Investigations,
specializing in surveillance, activity checks and background investigations.
Investigators are trained in providing testimony on their files.
This company was incorporated in Minnesota in 1985 and currently has twenty
employees. The investigators are located in and around Madison, Wausau and
Superior, Wisconsin, and in Duluth and Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota. This
is an advantage when assignment are of a “rush” nature, and reduces the cost
of travel expenses to our clients.
NRS works hard to assist its clients in the defense of insurance claims, and
works closely with requesters to try to obtain fair and usable results on
each assignment. The assignments are handled in a timely and,
cost effective manner.
NRS handles all investigative and surveillance assignments with detailed
logs which are compiled in the form of written reports and are submitted to
the customer either periodically during the handling or at the conclusion of
each assignment.
All forms of evidence (specifically video) are kept in vendor’s
possession to maintain a chain of evidence, allowing the information to be
used in court in the defense of the claim. Our Investigators are
trained and experienced in providing testimony in adverse litigation.
NRS provides telephone contacts and e-mail contacts during “office hours”,
(typically 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time). NRS provides additional
contacts in the form of cell phone numbers of supervisors and investigators
at all hours. NRS provides investigative services 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, and within 24 hours of notice of service requests.
NRS retains all pertinent claim records for seven years from the date of
each case conclusion and/or interaction.
NRS is a full service vendor, providing surveillance, activity and
background investigations, recorded statements, record searches and all
other investigative services, with the exception of Forensic Examinations.
NRS can identify Forensic Engineers for this purpose. No subcontractors are
used by NRS.
NRS investigators normally work the assignments closest to their particular
area. However, when the need arises, these professionals know they may be
required to travel to other areas to work a particular assignment. When this
happens, the case is billed out from the nearest investigator.
* Referrals are generally made to NRS by email, fax or telephone using
customer forms or ones provided by NRS. Acknowledgment of referrals can be
made immediately via email, fax or phone.
*All NRS investigators have cell phones and it is generally possible for
them to maintain contact with claims adjusters even while in the field,
handling cases.
* Progress reports are made to supervisors or adjusters at customer’s
offices by telephone, email or fax. Each investigator has complete support
from our office staff during normal businesses hours and through contact
with supervisory personnel twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
NRS is a member of several national and international investigative
organizations, and is able to find investigative assistance anywhere in the
world.
